AC Gas Leak Detection & Refill

If your AC is running but not cooling, gas is the usual suspect — but topping it up without finding the leak is a waste. We pressure-test with nitrogen, find the actual leak point, fix the joint or coil, vacuum the line, then charge to the manufacturer's spec. R32, R410A, and R22 supported.

Why us

We find the leak before refilling

Most outfits skip the pressure test and just top up the gas. That's why your AC fails again in 2 months. We don't do that.

Genuine refrigerant only

We use sealed-cylinder refrigerant from authorised distributors. Gauge readings are shared with you on completion.

Transparent pricing by gas type

R22, R410A, R32 — different gases, different prices. We tell you the rate before charging, not after.

30DAY

30-day workmanship guarantee

If our work needs a callback inside 30 days, we come back and fix it — same technicians, no charge.

"Good experience team. The inspection was carried out quickly and thoroughly, and the entire process was smooth and seamless from start to end. The technicians arrived on time, were professional, and clearly very competent — they gave me two days for the process, but only needed one. I was very impressed and will definitely use this company again."

Gas Leak Detection & Refill — frequently asked

How do I know my AC needs a gas refill versus another repair?
The classic signs are: the AC runs but the airflow isn't cold, ice forms on the indoor coil, or your electricity bill goes up while cooling gets weaker. These can also indicate a blocked filter, a failing compressor, or a sensor fault — so we don't recommend a refill on symptoms alone. We confirm with a nitrogen pressure test on site before recommending any gas work.
How long does a gas refill take?
If the leak is at a joint or flare, the full sequence — pressure test, repair, vacuum, and refill — typically takes 60–90 minutes on site. Coil-level leaks are slower because the coil may need to be removed or swapped, which can extend the visit to half a day. We give you a time estimate after the pressure test, before starting any repair.
Why is just 'topping up' the gas a bad idea?
If there's an actual leak in the system, top-up gas just escapes again over the next few weeks — you've paid for refrigerant that's now in the atmosphere. The proper fix is to pressure-test, find the leak point, repair it, and then charge the system to the manufacturer's spec. We only do a straight top-up if the pressure test comes back clean and we're confident there's no active leak.
Do you handle older R22 systems?
Yes. R22 is being phased out under the Montreal Protocol but is still serviceable, and we keep stock available for refills and leak repairs. That said, R22 cylinder prices have been climbing year-on-year — for older units we'll tell you upfront whether continued R22 refills make sense or whether replacing the unit with a modern R32 system is more economical over the next 2–3 years.
Is there a warranty on the leak fix?
Yes — we cover the specific joint or coil we repaired with a 30-day workmanship warranty. If the same point leaks again within that window, we come back and re-fix it at no charge. If a different part of the system develops a separate leak later, that's a fresh diagnostic, but AMC clients get discounted rates on follow-up work.
How much does AC gas refill cost in Pune?
Detection (nitrogen pressure-test) starts at ₹500. Refill cost depends on the gas type and the quantity needed: R22 (older units), R32 (most modern units), and R410A (some inverter units) are all priced separately and we share the per-cylinder rate before charging anything. A typical 1.5-ton split that needs a partial refill — assuming a single small leak we can repair on the spot — lands in a defined range we'll quote on site after the pressure test. We don't quote a flat "gas refill" price upfront because that almost always means topping up gas without finding the leak, and the gas just escapes again in a few weeks.
What's the difference between gas refill and gas top-up?
A "top-up" usually means adding refrigerant without finding why pressure dropped in the first place. If there's a real leak — at a flare joint, a coil micro-fracture, or a corroded line — top-up gas escapes through the same path within weeks. A proper refill is the full sequence: nitrogen pressure-test to locate the leak, repair the joint or coil, vacuum the line, then charge to the manufacturer's spec. We do top-ups only when the pressure test comes back clean and we're confident there's no active leak.
Which neighborhoods do you cover for same-day gas refill?
Same-day gas refill visits are standard across central and western Pune — Kothrud, Baner, Warje, Bavdhan, Aundh, Wakad, Hinjewadi, Katraj, Swargate, Hadapsar, and Central Pune. Further-out neighborhoods inside Pune city (within roughly 35 km of the city centre) typically get a next-day slot. The pressure-test, leak repair, vacuum, and charge sequence usually finishes in a single visit unless the leak is at coil level, in which case we may need a second visit for the coil swap.
